A quick interview with the hubby

If you read this post, you know I have been back home with my mom these past few days. If you didn’t know, then I’ll give you the short version: I injured my back 3 years ago, it went out again this week, my muscles are in spasm, it’s very difficult to take care of Lydia by myself with this issue, so I came home to mom’s a few days earlier than Mitch and I had planned.

So Mitch has been back in good ‘ole Charleston working hard because he is a hard worker. And a great bread winner of which I am so very thankful for…a husband who provides :-)

So we have been apart for two nights. Uh…remind me how to breathe again? Cause I forget everything when my husband and I are apart. We don’t do well apart. We thrive off of each other. We are rarely ever apart. We love to be with one another. Not to mention our little baby girl!

So I constructed a quick phone picture interview last night with my hubby cause that’s just the kinda gal I am.

Here was how it started:

For your entertainment, the interview went something along this tune via text message:

Me: Your favorite color.

Me: Favorite article of clothing from your wardrobe.

Mitch sends this pic:

(It’s an old Elevation Church t-shirt that he wears around the house. With a nice big pizza stain right there on the A and T. Not to mention it has a cluster of holes at the bottom of the shirt. Lovely, dear. Just lovely.)

Me: Favorite pair of my earrings.

Me: “Really? I never wear those.”

Mitch: “Love tgdm.” (translation: “Love them.”)

Me: “Hmm. Why?”

Mitch: “Just do.”

Oh, men and their intense skill of description.

I had planned for the interview to continue a little further.

But I knew he was tired. It was already 11 p.m.

So he called me and we talked about how much we missed each other and how we couldn’t wait to see each other. Then we said our “goodnights” and “I love you”s.

A few minutes after we hung up, I received a short text saying that he loved me.

After a little over 9 years of knowing each other- 3 of those years just being friends, 4 of those years dating/being engaged, and almost 3 years of being married, we still love being with each other and can’t stand being apart.

That’s fun math!

Oh, and if you go here you can vote for my sweet girl’s photo…she is currently in the running for this week’s finalist…which would put her in the final four photos to be chosen for the 2012 Parents Magazine Cover contest! Thanks for your votes!

What a small world, I actually live in CT and my husband and I and the kids took a vacation to visit my parents in South Carolina. We stopped for a night in Charlotte and actually went to ELEVATION Church. I got a free t-shirt myself for being a first time guest…pretty great place :) Love the blog- just stumbled upon it through a project on Pinterest!
