(…speaking from experience…)
1. you jump up and down at the thought of diapers/wipes being delivered to your front door. and you anticipate the day they finally arrive.
2. you keep a pair of tweezers in your car’s console because the only time you can pluck your eyebrows is when you pull in the driveway after grocery shopping and the baby is asleep…so you pull down your sun visor mirror and being to shape those eye brows!
3. you see the words “childcare available”, and suddenly bright lights shine, triumphant music begins to play, and a strong wind appears and blows your hair in slow motion…and you smile and shed a tear.
4. you and baby finally get 9-12 hours of uninterrupted sleep…but your first thought is, “are they ok?” or “are they still breathing?”
…and you go to check on them, completely aware of the possibility you may wake them, which would mean you may have interrupted sleep…
…but you don’t care because you’re a mom and your baby is always on your mind, whether asleep or awake…
and as you get out of bed and make your way to baby’s nursery, your husband just mutters a few words in his sleep…something along the lines of, “klasdfkj…but you’re gonna wake her up…lkask fjjid jfllad abc123LMNOP ie…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz”.
Anyone second this motion?
I titled this volume one because I know for a fact that more “mommy moments” will happen in the near future for me. But for now, I’m sharing with you these 4 that have happened to me recently. From one momma to another!
You fill in the blank…”You know you’re a mom when ___________________.”
